All your plans, in one fuel gauge.

100 fuel is one Claude Max 20x's limit, every 5 hours or every week, and a Pro counts 5 every 5 hours. Shuriken adds up the fuel your subscriptions have left, one figure per provider and per limit, in the top bar.

The Sources screen in Shuriken: four Claude sources, three Pros and a Max 20x, with their fuel for the 5 hours and the week, and Codex on a tab of its own.

The problem

Percents from different plans don't add up.

Claude reports each account's use as a percent of that account's own plan. 40% of a Pro and 70% of a Max 20x are different amounts, so with three or four accounts there is no honest total of what's left.

Codex sizes its plans another way again, and a Claude chat can't run on a ChatGPT plan anyway. Adding everything into one percent would only make a bigger wrong number.

How Shuriken handles it

How it works

  1. A Max 20x is 100 fuel.

100 fuel is a whole Max 20x limit, in the 5 hours and in the week alike. For Codex, 100 is about one ChatGPT Pro's week, and a Plus counts 20.

  2. Smaller plans are a slice.

    A Pro counts 5 every 5 hours and about 17 a week. A Max 5x counts 25 and about 58.

  3. Your sources add up.

Three Pros and a Max 20x make 115 every 5 hours and about 150 a week: one figure per limit.

  4. Each provider on its own.

A Claude chat can't run on a ChatGPT plan, so the top bar shows the figure for the chat's provider.

How your sources add up.

Every source is a tank on its provider's scale: a full tank is 100 fuel, one Max 20x or one ChatGPT Pro, and a Claude Pro is a small slice of it. Shuriken adds a provider's tanks into one figure per limit, and keeps Claude and Codex apart.

Limit

Claude: three Pros at 5 each and a Max 20x at 100 add up to 115 fuel every 5 hours. Codex, counted apart: a Plus adds 20; a Pro has no 5-hour limit.

Claude: three Pros at about 17 each and a Max 20x at about 100 add up to ≈150 fuel a week. Codex, counted apart: a Plus and a Pro add up to ≈120.

The details

  • In the top bar

The source indicator shows what's left for the chat's provider, the figure inside its bar: W for the week, D for the 5 hours. Click it to open Sources.

  • ≈ marks an estimate

A rounded figure, or a size worked out from an older statement, is drawn with ≈. A plan with no published size is listed and never added.

  • Subscriptions only

Fuel counts the plans you signed in with. API keys and endpoints aren't added.

  • No 5-hour limit

A ChatGPT Pro has no 5-hour limit, so it stays out of the 5-hour figure and is named beside it.

Good to know

  • Plan sizes come from Anthropic's and OpenAI's own plan pages and were last checked on 2026-10-23.
  • Fuel is for Claude and Codex. Other providers' sources keep their own readings.

Questions

What is fuel?

Fuel counts what your plans have left, on one scale. 100 Claude fuel is a whole Max 20x limit, every 5 hours or every week, so a Pro counts 5 every 5 hours and about 17 a week. 100 Codex fuel is about one ChatGPT Pro's week, so a Plus counts 20 in each.

Why don't the week and 5-hour figures match?

A Max 20x gets 20 times a Pro's 5 hours but only about 6 times its week, so a Pro is a bigger share of the week. Three Pros and one Max 20x have 115 fuel every 5 hours and about 150 a week. The two limits are separate, so their figures never compare.

Why are Claude and Codex counted apart?

Their plans belong to different companies, and a chat runs on its own provider's plans, so the top bar shows the figure for the provider of the chat you're in.

What does ≈ mean?

Either the figure is rounded, or the size behind it was worked out from an older or partial statement because the provider doesn't publish a current one. A Pro's week is 16.67 fuel, so it reads ≈17. The weekly sizes of Claude's Max plans are estimates. A plan with no usable figure is listed and never added.

Do API keys count toward fuel?

No. Fuel counts the subscriptions you signed in with. API keys and your own endpoints are not added.
