Always on

Runs with the app closed.

Turn on the background service once, in Settings › Devices, and your agents keep going after you close the window. Keep awake holds the Mac awake while anything runs, and it can keep working with the lid shut. The app updates itself.

On a Mac

Install it like any Mac app.

  1. Download the .dmg

    Or the .zip. There is one build, for Apple silicon (M1 or newer) on macOS 13 or later.

  2. Drag Shuriken to Applications

    Open the disk image and drag the app across, then open it from Applications.

  3. Record from the menu bar

    The menu bar icon lists each open project with Open chat and Start recording, so a spoken message reaches it without opening the window.
