Terms of Service
These terms are the contract between you and Enkova s. r. o. for using Shuriken. If you are a consumer, the law of your country may give you more protection than these terms; nothing here takes it away.
1. Who we are and these terms
Shuriken is provided by Enkova s. r. o., Lehotská 370/22, 972 71 Nováky, Slovakia, IČO 57610657, registered in the Obchodný register Okresného súdu Trenčín, oddiel Sro, vložka č. 57998/R ("we", "us"). Email: office@shuriken.sh. All our details are on the Legal page.
These terms apply when you create an account, join the waitlist, or use the Shuriken apps, website or cloud. You accept them when you agree to them on the waitlist form, when you choose your first password or when you subscribe. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
A consumer is a person using Shuriken outside their trade, business or profession; a business customer is anyone else. Some sections apply only to one of them, and say so.
2. The service
Shuriken is a cockpit for coding agents. It consists of the apps (desktop, web and phone), the software that runs agents on your computers and servers, and our cloud at shuriken.sh, which keeps your account, syncs your devices and relays your devices' encrypted connections to each other.
Shuriken does not include any AI model. The agents you run (such as Claude Code or Codex) come from their providers and work with your own accounts with those providers (section 10). The features of each plan, the supported systems and the minimum requirements are described where you choose a plan and in the app.
3. The beta
Shuriken is in beta and invite-only: we admit people from the waitlist by hand. The beta plan is free. Beta features may change, may have bugs and may be removed. Before any paid plan applies to you, we will tell you its price and you will choose it yourself; nothing turns into a paid plan by itself.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 to use Shuriken.
- To buy a paid plan, you must be able to enter into a contract under the law that applies to you. If you subscribe for a business, you confirm you may bind it.
- An account is for one person. Give a correct email address and keep it current: we send sign-in details, important notices and, later, invoices there.
- Keep your password safe. It also encrypts your vault, so we cannot recover the vault if you lose it (see the Privacy policy). Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Shuriken to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- write, store or spread malware, or attack, probe or overload any system, including ours;
- get around Shuriken's limits or security, or reach other accounts' data;
- break the terms of the AI providers whose accounts you use, including their rules on sharing accounts;
- resell or rent out access to Shuriken without our written agreement.
Agents you run act on your computers with the permissions you give them. Review what they do and what they produce before you rely on it.
6. Reporting illegal content
Shuriken keeps your content private to your account and those you share with. If you believe something stored with us is illegal, write to office@shuriken.sh with: why you think it is illegal, where it is (a link or enough to find it), your name and email, and a statement that you believe in good faith that your notice is correct and complete. We decide on notices carefully, without undue delay, and tell you what we decided.
If we restrict your account or content because of a notice or a breach of these terms, we tell you what we did and why, and you can contest it by replying to us. We take our decisions by hand, not by automated means.
7. Subscriptions, prices and payment
- Paid plans are subscriptions for a billing period (for example a month or a year). Before you buy, we show the plan's features, its price, the billing period and when you will be charged. Prices are final prices, including any taxes that apply.
- You pay in advance for each billing period, through the payment provider shown when you subscribe. We never see or store your full card details.
- The contract is concluded when we confirm your subscription by email. That email also confirms these terms and, if you asked us to start at once, your request (section 9).
- If a payment fails, we tell you and try again. If it still fails, your account moves to the free features until you pay; nothing is deleted.
- We send invoices electronically to your account's email.
8. Renewal and cancellation
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. There is no minimum term.
- You can cancel at any time in the app, under Settings › Plan, or by writing to office@shuriken.sh. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- We do not refund the rest of a period you cancel, except where the law requires it (for example after a withdrawal under section 9, or a defect we cannot fix under section 14).
- If we change a plan's price, we tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal. The new price applies from that renewal; if you do not agree, cancel before it.
9. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
This section applies to consumers.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day the contract is concluded (section 7).
To withdraw, inform us (Enkova s. r. o., Lehotská 370/22, 972 71 Nováky, Slovakia, office@shuriken.sh) of your decision by a clear statement: use the Withdraw from contract here function next to your subscription in the app, send us an email, or send a letter. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to. We confirm your withdrawal by email without delay. It is enough that you send your withdrawal before the period ends.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw, we refund all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of the day we receive your withdrawal. We use the same means of payment you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise; you will not pay any fees for the refund.
Starting at once
A paid plan only starts during the withdrawal period if you expressly ask for it when you subscribe, and confirm that you know you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. If you withdraw after asking us to start, you pay an amount proportionate to what we provided until you told us you were withdrawing, compared with the full contract. You owe nothing if we did not give you this information or did not get your request.
10. Third-party AI providers
- Shuriken works with accounts you hold with AI providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, and with voice providers if you choose them. Those accounts are yours. Your contract with each provider, its terms, its usage limits and its fees apply, and you are responsible for following them.
- Your requests go from your devices to those providers directly. We do not control the providers, their availability or what their models produce, and we are not responsible for them.
- If you share a source with someone, make sure the provider allows it. You stay responsible for your account with that provider.
- AI output can be wrong, insecure or infringe others' rights. Check it before you use it.
11. Your content and code
Your code, files, chats, prompts and everything you or your agents create remain yours. We claim no rights in them. You give us only the permission we need to store and transmit, for you, the data our cloud handles (most of it encrypted so we cannot read it), for as long as you use Shuriken. We do not use your content to train AI models.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
12. Our software
While your account exists, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the Shuriken apps and software on your own devices, for your own work or your business's. Parts of Shuriken are open-source software; those parts are governed by their own licences, listed in the app, which these terms do not restrict. Apart from that, Shuriken, its name and its logo belong to us.
13. Availability and changes
We work to keep Shuriken available, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted: maintenance, updates and problems at our hosting provider can make it unavailable for a while. The agents on your own computers keep working without our cloud.
We improve Shuriken all the time and supply updates you need to keep it working and secure. We may change features for good reasons, such as security, new systems, the law or a provider's change. If a change harms a consumer's use of a paid plan more than slightly, we tell you in advance, on a durable medium, and you can end the contract free of charge within 30 days of the change.
14. Defects and complaints
Consumers: you have the statutory rights for digital services that do not conform to the contract. We are responsible for any lack of conformity that appears while your subscription runs. You can ask us to bring the service into conformity, and if we do not, cannot, or the defect is serious, you can ask for a price reduction or end the contract.
To complain, write to office@shuriken.sh describing the problem. We confirm your complaint, decide on it without undue delay and at the latest within 30 days, and tell you the result.
Business customers: to the extent the law allows, Shuriken is provided as it is, without any warranty beyond these terms.
15. Liability
Consumers: we are liable to you as the law provides. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
Business customers: we are not liable for lost profits, lost data you did not back up, or indirect damage, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to injury to life or health, or where the law does not allow them.
For everyone: we are not responsible for third-party AI providers or for what agents do on your devices with the permissions you gave them, except where that damage is caused by our breach of these terms.
16. Ending the contract and deleting your account
- You can stop using Shuriken and delete your account at any time in Settings › Account › Delete account. You can export your data there first. Deleting your account ends any subscription; data on your own computers stays there.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires. We tell you why in advance, unless there is an urgent need to prevent harm, and you can contest it (section 6).
- We may end the service for everyone with at least 60 days' notice. If we end a paid plan without any fault of yours, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
17. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your country, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
For business customers, the courts of the Slovak Republic have exclusive jurisdiction. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
18. Resolving disputes
If something goes wrong, write to office@shuriken.sh first; we want to put it right.
Consumers: if you are not satisfied with how we handled a complaint, or you believe we have breached your rights, you may send us a request for redress. If we reject it or do not answer within 30 days of when you sent it, you may file a proposal for alternative dispute resolution with the Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia (Slovak Trade Inspection), Ústredný inšpektorát, Bajkalská 21/A, P.O. BOX 29, 827 99 Bratislava 27, Slovakia, soi.sk, ars@soi.sk, within one year. The procedure is free of charge. You may also go to court.
Our supervisory authority for consumer protection is the Inšpektorát Slovenskej obchodnej inšpekcie pre Trenčiansky kraj, Hurbanova 59, 911 01 Trenčín, Slovakia. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025, so we do not link to it.
19. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when Shuriken, the law or our business changes. We give each version a number and date. Before a change takes effect, we tell you in the app and, for a paid plan, by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel or delete your account before the change takes effect, free of charge, and the old terms apply until then. If you keep using Shuriken after the change takes effect, the new terms apply.
20. Final provisions
- These terms are in English. We keep each version; ask us for the version you agreed to.
- If a provision is invalid, the rest stays in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by the valid one closest to its purpose.
- You may not transfer this contract without our consent. We may transfer it to a company that takes over Shuriken, if your rights are not reduced; we tell you first.
- If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up.
